In July 2019, residents were evacuated from a senior housing complex in Stoughton, MA after a fire broke out. A few days after the fire, participants in Jewish Family & Children’s Services’ day program for adults with disabilities visited with the displaced seniors — bringing them flowers, board games, and smiles. We thought sharing this uplifting story would be a great opportunity to publicize our day program, so I interviewed our staff and wrote an article that was picked up by the Canton Citizen, Stoughton Patch, and JewishBoston.com.
Our day program made the news again in December, when a story I wrote about participants volunteering with The Pet Pantry ran in The Stoughton Journal, Wicked Local Stoughton, and Canton Patch.
