During the pandemic, Jewish Family & Children’s Service was eager to publicize the expansion of their interest-free loan program. To help get the word out, I interviewed Rebecca Remis, one of our loan recipients, to write a story about the impact our Hebrew Free Loan had on her burgeoning flower business. The resulting article was published on our blog, sent to the thousands of contacts on our email list, and ran as a front-page story in The Jewish Advocate. Later that month, I secured a second front-page byline in The Jewish Advocate with a story about JF&CS’s response to food insecurity.
